Sip some tea with me as the the full moon rises over the Danvers-Wenham Swamp Walk
Friday, June 30, 2022
7:00pm - 7:30pm
This is a field trip event! We will meet at the big platform on the swamp
Welcome in the Capricorn Full Moon by sipping some tea in the gongfu style with multiple flash steepings of one tea in order to bring out different flavors and notes with each round.
For this lunation, we will be sipping Wuyi Oolong, a crisp and woodsy oolong from the famous Wuyi Mountains in the northern part of Fujian, China.
Parking
There is a small parking lot on Rt. 97 if you're able to find a spot. It can sometimes fill up quick. From this small lot, it is an easy 15 min walk to the Swamp Walk platform. If using GPS, typing in 295 Topsfield Rd, WENHAM MA should take you to this lot, or close to this lot. ( Make sure you go to the Topsfield Rd in Wenham, not Topsfield. )
Another good parking location is at Choate Farm on Locust St. There is usually more space, but you'll have to traipse through the woods a bit to meet up with the Danvers Rail Trail. Once you get to the rail trail, go LEFT towards the Swamp
teaCAMILLA is also located near the Danvers Rail Trail and it is about an hour walk to the Swamp Walk. Bicycling is encouraged!
Logistics
- Please dress according to the weather. This is an outdoor event!
- We'll be sipping caffeinated teas from the camellia sinensis tea plant, but in small amounts.
- This is a free offering, but donations are welcome
